Perming

Perms have suffered a bad name over the past 15-20 years, and wrongly so.
The afro and spiral perms of the 80's were probably the things that killed off the perm addiction, the mad frizzy look was soon replaced by smoother styles. And then once ceramic straighteners were available people across the country started abusing their hair to create the completely poker straight look that caused more damage to hair condition than most good perms!
There is now a turn around and perms are coming back into fashion and done in the right way you don't have to jeopardise the condition of your hair. The difference with the modern perm is the type of product used to perm the hair and the type of roller used.
The products have evolved allowing the perming process to be much more gentle. Techniques have moved on too so that hair can be permed selectively to add bounce and twist to the ends of long hair or root lift and volume to short hair.
Look at recent styles of the stars and you will see how the flat straight look is not as popular as it was and people are once again realising how some bounce and soft curl can enhance their hairstyle.
